Default E/MO SOLO Smite Runs Unaffected

So the build I used to get my fissure armor relied on divine boon, among other things (its basically the invincimonk with renewal plugged in). The original build, along with screenies and credits can be found here:

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...1&postcount=12

I was worried that the less spammable boon might hamper my ability to solo with it, however this is not the case. If anyone needs help doing this, feel free to contact me on the forums or in game. Sup Water is really really cheap btw.

I was REALLY surprised that Ether Renewal wasn't among the skills to get smacked by the NERF bat during the big skill adjustment. Smiting builds in general really didn't get hurt that bad. The delay added to Divine Boon and Draw Conditions doesn't really matter much either, as now you just alternate them with Reversal of Fortune and you still get about the same effect. I wonder if changes are in store in the future for the key skills in this build.

*bows before Rhys*

I've been playing the game a while, tried the "invincimonk" build with my mo/e, but it didn't quite work...

Then I saw your post..

*hugs Rhys*

It still works happily well with the nerfing, and my dream of fissure armour for my monk may become true

ummmm........yeah. As soon as I saw someone post the 105/55 build for monks, I knew an ele/monk could do it faster and better with ether.

Never cast ether or aura without having glyph up

And actually, something I didn't post here: The way to defeat the graspings, as I've said before, is to switch back to "normal" armor. But the sequence of casting is also crucial.

Cast zealots, then glyph, then aggro. As they rush up, cast aura. Then cast glyph again till they dont interrupt it. Once glyph is up, cast renewal and spam cast until they die. Works like a charm.

Eles do it better =)

I use a different build on my E/Mo, but it works very well too.
I use breeze instead of boon, and essence bond instead of that Glyph.
For me, the darknesses are rarely a problem as long as I get ether renewal up just before they agro, that way I have plenty of energy to take them out even with them stealing energy per hit.

For the ataaxes u better be in 55 life armor, so far as ive found - same for smite bugs. The bugs are easy, u just cast ether as they come up (make sure prot spirit is on), then cast balthazars and spam boon and spirit. Boon is not AS spammable, but u can still cast it really fast. It works, just takes pracice.

I found it hard to do without glyph, since there is always the possibility that they will interrupt aura, which I think need to cast in order to kill them before they kill you. I suppose u could cast both before aggro, but then you would lose precious seconds of both...

Empressive!

Looks like the only real danger would be if you get a mixed group of Aaxes and grasps.

Only thing missing on your skill bar is SOJ, it sure does help when you are in dire need to cast without being interrupted.

Does not take you much more to kill the mobs with Breeze? it takes 2 secs to recharge, twice as Boon. I feel with boon slowed the aatxes take a lot more to kill, so I can imagine its even slower with breeze.

With 4 is a bit trickier as they deal a lot of damage, so I spam Boon, and cast Prot. Spirit as soon as it is recharged. With Essence Bond energy is not a problem, and you can even cast Aura twice without needing Ether Renewal. I think 4 Aatxes is the limit, with 5 if you stop spamming boon for casting spirit, aura or ER you die.
